SUPERBOLT® Tensioners of the SH series are used for high temperature applications. They replace standard heavy nuts and do not require extra space, but offer the advantages of multi-jackbolt tensioners.
The outer diameter is approx. 1.8x the nominal thread diameter. Therefore, the SH series has fewer but larger jackbolts for faster installation and removal.
Additionally, these tensioners may be utilized for applications for which their special properties are beneficial: they are highly corrosion resistant, and can be made from nonmagnetic steel upon request. For sizes over M76 see SHT series.
